NIA To Kickstart Issuing Ghana Card To Ghanaians On June 7
The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced that, it will start issuing the Ghana cards to Ghanaians who registered during the mass registration exercise but could not get their cards on June 7.
The Head of Corporate Affairs for the NIA, Mr. Abdul Ganiyu Abudu, told Oheneba Nana Asiedu on Wontumi Morning Show that, the exercise will end on June 30.
According to him, about 200,000 cards have been distributed to the various NIA Regional and District Offices across the country.
He said that the applicants are to go to the District Offices to secure their cards.
However, Mr. Ganiyu Abudu said that the NIA will start registering Ghanaians aged 15 years and above for the Ghana card, replacement of lost cards, stolen and damaged of cards on 5th July.
He stressed that, applicants can also update their personal information in the National Identity Register (NIR).
