THE ASSIN Central Coordinator for the Vice President is reported to have suffered severe beatings at the hands of some persons suspected to be loyal to Hon. Kennedy Agyapong in the ongoing presidential primaries of the ruling New Patriotic Party.

Joseph Yaw Yeboah, who is also the Secretary for the Mempeasem Methodist Church Polling Station, was said to have been attacked by the thugs suspected to have been contracted by the Hon. Kennedy Agyapong Campaign Team.

Reports indicate that the victim has lodged formal complaints with the police for investigations to commence so that the suspects involved in the dastardly act can be apprehended and dealt with in accordance with the law.

Its not clear whether the incident forms part of the threats issued by some locals of Hon. Kennedy Agyapong two weeks when they warned that they would not allow anyone other than party supporters loyal to the Assin Central Legislator to participate in the primaries.
