Embattled Businessman, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, is alleged to have paid millions to some national executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to defend him when he lost his banking license.
The Bono regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party, Kwame Baffoe has stated that in the wake of the banking sector clean up by the Akufo-Addo led government, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom confided in some national executives of the NDC and gave them millions to defend the rot he has personally created with his bank.
In a monologue he delivered on Wontumi TV, Kwame Baffoe popularly known as Chairman Abronye stated that “Nduom was paying the organizers of the NDC to speak for him and make it appear like government had deliberately collapsed his bank. The national executives of NDC took money from Nduom to speak for him.”
He explained that anytime the state took Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom to court, the NDC would hold a press conference to defend him.
“We saw this before the 2020 elections, the NDC were always saying that the government of President Akufo-Addo had come to collapse banks”, Abronye said.

Currently, Ghanaian-based business conglomerate, Groupe Nduom is fighting off US-based Birim Group LLC’s claims of money laundering and wire fraud.
The Groupe has described the arguments advanced by the plaintiffs as a mere political smear.
It has, therefore, filed a motion to dismiss the case.
Birim Group LLC has brought charges against the founder and former flagbearer of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom.
In a writ sighted by myjoyonline, Groupe Nduom, is being accused of laundering a total of $63,000,000.
