A staunch member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has said the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will only learn sense after they have lost the 2024 general elections with John Mahama as their flagbearer.
He has also advised members of the NPP to focus on their own message and not messages shared by Mr. John Mahama on campaign platforms since it will give him mileage.
Speaking on the Wontumi Morning Show which was monitored by Wontumionline.com, Mr. Oppong Peprah claimed that the “soul” of the NDC is in the hands of Mr. Mahama due to the resources he has acquired in his political life.
“Rawlings had absolute control in NDC, but when he left in 2000, the power he had weaned until Mahama came in and marshalled forces against him and Asiedu Nketia said it by claiming they have tamed the barking dogs”, he said.
It is by default that Mr. Mahama has built control within the NDC Mr. Oppong Peprah said as he stressed that “he started from partial control to absolute control”.
“He had access to so much resource as vice before becoming President. He has positioned himself to an influencer in NDC”, he added.
