The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has rubbished the town hall meeting which was organized by the National Democratic Congress in the Aashanti region, by describing it as a “conference for liars”.
In an exclusive interview with Wontumionline.com shortly after the conference came to an end, the NPP Chairman popularly known as Chairman Wontumi stated that the “NDC used their stage in Ashanti region to showcase which member can tell the most lies”.
He stated that the administration of former President Mahama did nothing meaningful to improve upon the lives of Ashantis and for that reason, could not boast of helping them during his tenure.
He noted that all the projects undertaken in the Ashanti region by the NDC when they were in power, were things that the government of former President J.A. Kufuor had secured funds for.
The opposition NDC today held a town hall meeting in Kumasi, Ashanti region.
The meeting comes as part of the NDC’s efforts to acquaint its supporters and citizens with policies outlined in its just recently outdoored manifesto ahead of the upcoming 2020 general elections.
