Chairman Wontumi has exposed Kwabena Owusu Aduomi of receiving financial support from the National Democratic Congress to contest the Ejisu parliamentary seat as an independent candidate.
The Ashanti regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) described the former Member of Parliament for Ejisu as an ingrate for turning against his party after enjoying twelve (12) uninterrupted years in parliament on the ticket of the NPP.
“NPP gave you 12 years to be in parliament and after that you still contested the Ashanti Regional Chairman position… He (Aduomi) was sharing milo and cognac to delegates in Ashanti region. He was giving provisions to people to prepare tea”, Chairman Wontumi said as he mocked Aduomi for failing to win the regional chairman election.
In an interview on Wontumi TV, Chairman Wontumi revealed that the NDC decided not participate in the impending by-election because they see Kwabena Owusu Aduomi as their preferred candidate to throw their weight behind.
“They want to be mischievous. They are filled with bad mind-set like John Mahama. They know Ejusi is our stronghold and know they have already lost the battle so they are sponsoring an independent candidate like Aduomi”, Chairman Wontumi said.
