NDC Running from Parliament Because of Free SHS Bill – Abronye

Kwame Baffoe Abronye, the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has accused the National Democratic Congress (NDC) MP’s of deliberately avoiding Parliament to prevent the passage of the Free Senior High School (SHS) Bill.

According to Abronye, the NDC’s absence from Parliament is a clear indication of their opposition to the Free SHS policy, which has been a flagship program of the NPP government.

“The NDC is running away from Parliament because they don’t want the Free SHS Bill to be passed, they have always opposed the policy, and now they are trying to avoid Parliament to prevent its passage.”

Abronye dared the NDC MP’s to approve the bill if they do not have any intention of canceling the policy.

“If the NDC truly supports the Free SHS policy, they should approve the bill without hesitation, their intention to cancel the policy if they come into power is what they are currently demontrating.”

He emphasize that the NDC’s actions in Parliament is a deliberate attempt to undermine the government’s efforts to pass the Free SHS Bill.
