A university lecturer has branded the antics of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as similar to the moves Luis Suarez used in preventing the Ghana Black Stars from qualifying for the 2010 semifinals held in South Africa.
Dr. Solomon Kwarteng Forkuo who was speaking on the Wontumi Morning Show monitored by Wontumionline.com stated that the NDC is trying everything they can to frustrate government.
Touching on the attacks coming from the NDC, Dr. Forkuo noted that he expects it to increase but quickly warned that the onus is on government to be on guard to avoid shipping in “own goals”.
“All what they intend to do is to capitalize on the NPP scoring own goals for them (NDC) to win the elections. So they want to frustrate the government so that they can win. They want to act like Suarez because they have no strategy”, he said.
In what was one of the most controversial moments in World Cup history, Suarez denied Ghana a late winner in the World Cup quarter-final 12 years ago by deliberately handling Dominic Adiyah’s shot on the goal line.
