NDC Absence At IPAC Meeting Made It Smooth- Kofi Akpaloo Mocks

Founder and Leader of Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Mr. Percival Kofi Akpaloo says he is impressed with the Inter Party and Advisory Committee meeting which recently took place at the capital city between the Electoral Commission and the Political parties.

According to him, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) absence made the meeting smooth.

Mr. Akpaloo in an interview on Wontumi Radio and TV added that the boycott of the meeting by the NDC made the discussions fruitful.

Briefing the listeners and viewers of Wontumi Radio and TV, he said, he is in support of the Electoral Commission’s decision to reduce the Parliamentary filing fee for women and the physically challenged to empower them for engagements.

According to the LPG Leader, the Political parties and the EC deliberated on the campaign periods.

He said: “there is no law backing the campaign periods so it was something we discussed.”

He insisted that, another proposal, he lauded the EC for is the idea of bringing ballot papers to Electoral areas to collate them.

“This will solve the delayance and hooliganism at the coalition centers,” he said.

The ‘So meha na so meha’ man said, the proposal to start the election at 7am and close at 3pm is very laudable.

He emphasized that, the EC wants to be transparent and that, his party will support her.
