NCA To Shut Down Two TV Stations Owned By Rev.Obofour And 47 Others

Two TV stations owned by popular man of God, Reverend Obofour will soon be shut down together with 47 other TV stations by the National Communications Authority (NCA) for operating without authorization.

Communications minister, Ursula Owusu in a statement issued on her Facebook from the NCA disclosed that they are doing so because those stations were operating without authorization contrary to Section 2(4) of the Electronic Communications Act 775 of 2008.

The monitoring revealed that some channels were operating without valid authorization, contrary to Section 2(4) of the Electronic Communications Act 775 of 2008, which states that, ‘Except as provided by this Act or any other law not inconsistent with this Act,  a person shall not operate. A broadcasting system or provide a broadcasting service without a frequency Authorisation by the Authority’.

Earlier this morning, it was reported that two stations of controversial fetish priest, Agradaa had been shut down and also in police custody assisting with investigations.
