The National Communications Authority (NCA) has introduced a shortcode to enable sim card users to verify the number of SIM cards linked to their Ghana Cards.
According to a Facebook post by the NCA, you can dial *402*1# to check the number of SIMs linked to your Ghana card.
There have been many reports of sim cards being linked to the Ghana Card of many Ghanaians without their knowledge and approval.
The Ministry of Communication started the SIM re-registration in the year 2021 in what vice president Mahamudu Bawumia said is to “rid the country’s cyberspace of fraud, monitor and track down persons who use their phones for criminal activities.”
