Nana Addo Commissions Prof. Adu Boahen Public Square
President Akufo-Addo has as part of his physical infrastructure development in the various communities across the country commissioned the Late Professor Adu Boahen Public Square at Juaben in the Ashanti Region.
Through the Middle Belt Development Authority and under the abled leadership of Joe Danquah the, CEO, the project is one of the numerous projects under the One Million Dollars constituency initiative.
Commissioning the project President Nana Addo mentioned that the late Prof Adu Boahen contributed immensely to the democracy being enjoyed by Ghanaians.
According to him, Prof Adu Boahen was a father to him as he made him secretary of the Peoples Movement for Freedom and Justice which was his first highest political position.
“Prof Adu Boahen was a brave man,” the President proudly said.
The Omanhene of Juabeng Traditional Council who doubles as Chairman of the Council of State, Nana Otuo Serebour in his welcoming address commended late Prof Adu Boahen for his contribution to the development of Juabeng and Ghana at large.
Nana Otuo Serebour also used the occasion to commend President Nana Addo for delivering on his promise on the One Million dollars per Constituency agenda which has brought birth to the Prof. Adu Boahen Public Square and other developmental projects in the Municipality.
For his part, the Chief Executive Officer for Middle Belt Development Authority, Hon Joe Danquah revealed that the Authority has done several developmental projects in the Municipality which include an Astroturf park, police stations, markets and toilet facilities.
He added that the Authority will perform it’s mandate given to them by President Nana Addo.
