NADMO Gives To 150 Disaster Victims At Asokwa.

The Asokwa Municipal Directorate of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) has presented foodstuffs, mattresses and clothing to 150 persons whose roofs were ripped off during a recent storm in Asokwa.

At a brief presentation ceremony at Kaase and other areas within the municipality where the storm hit hardest, Eric Nana Akosah, Asokwa NADMO director said the gesture was to enable affected persons bounce back to normal life.

He noted that his outfit would further assess the conditions of the affected homes to see how they could offer additional assistance.

Mr Akosah also advised the public to ensure their homes are secured against incidences that could fester disasters.

COMMENDATION:
The NADMO director used the occasion to commend the Asokwa Municipal Assembly for the speedy nature they assisted the victims.

The procurement of food stuff and clothes were done in time, Mr Akosah indicated.

He noted that such alertness to duty is what makes the work of NADMO stand out.

He pledged the commitment of the directorate to carry out the tasks expected of them as the Christmas period approaches.

APPRECIATION:
Expressing delight at the support given to them, Kwabena Asamoah, a victim thanked the NADMO director for the assistance.

He also commended the Asokwa Municipal Assembly for the timely release of funds for the purchase of the items.

Abena Amankwah, another victim on her part praised the NADMO director for taking time to attend to them when he learnt of the storm.

She asked for the re-roofing of their destroyed homes so that they could return and properly settle down.
