Defeated Ashanti regional chairman aspirant for the New Patriotic Party(NPP), Dr. Kwabena Kokofu has said he will give everything to help Odeneho Kwaku Appiah(COKA) succeed as regional chairman saying COKA’s victory is an NPP victory.
The former Bantama Member of Parliament(MP) received COKA in his home a day after the election where he pledged loyalty and called for unity in the party.
According to Dr. Kokofu, any pain from his defeat has already been washed away saying the party needs all members in one basket and that cannot be achieved when some walk around with bitter hearts.
“It is not possible to engender unity when you are feeling bitter,” he said.
COKA visited Dr. Kokofu to extend an invitation seeking his support in his administration. Kokofu was pleased and said COKA has done the right thing as he has fulfilled his responsibilities as the victor.
He said COKA’s victory was not a personal victory but an NPP victory for “without the NPP we are nobody.”
Dr. Kokofu also promised to support COKA in the administering of his duties. He said, he knows the hardships of the chairmanship position and so he is ready to assist in anything when ever possible.
“My doors are open, morning evening, anything you need from whether it being an advice or ideas, ask and I will give you,” he said.
