My Contenders Helped To Ensure Exciting Presidential Race – Nana Addo
The winner of the 2020 Presidential elections and President-elect, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appreciated the other presidential aspirants who were in the race to the Jubilee House saying they fought a good fight until the end.
Delivering a victory speech at his private residence at Nima in Accra, immediately after he was declared the winner in the election he noted that “ his contenders helped to ensure that the presidential race was exciting and keenly contested.”
According to him, the ultimate goal of the contest “was for each contender to get the chance to develop the country.”
“In view of this I am calling for the nation to unite and forge ahead as one nation and one people.” He noted.
The President revealed that ,“Prior to this declaration by the EC chairperson, I received personal congratulatory messages from some of my fellow presidential candidates in the election on December 7.I express my appreciation to them and thank them for helping to ensure that the race was largely an exciting contest of ideas with an ultimate goal for the growth and development of mother Ghana as well as the improvement of the living standards of the Ghanaian people,” he said.
