My Achievements Have Revived Pru East- DCE Brags

Chief Executive of Pru East District in the Bono East Region, Hon. Joshua Kwaku Abonkra, has noted that, his achievements have helped open up the area.

He said that, the vision that President Akufo-Addo had to appoint him as DCE for the District has yielded great results because the people were deprived so much so that they felt neglected but now they are are relieved.

Speaking on Election 2020 on Wontumi Radio and TV on Monday evening Hon Abonkra bemoaned that, hopes were lost when John Mahama was in power but through the job creation initiatives by the NPP government under Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the residents lost hope has been redeemed because they now have someone who can literally take them to the promise land.

“All eyes have seen that, God brought me to give the District a face lift and the people are proud of my achievements” Hon Abonkra said

According to the DCE who is also the Parliamentary Candidate for the NPP in the area and will be contesting Hon. Kwabena Donkor of the NDC , he is happy to have made inroads into all the sectors.

“The main occupations in the Pru East District are farming and fishing. NHIS is working perfectly in the District. We have District hospital that even receives referral cases from nearby Districts.” He said

Touching on education, Hon. Abonkra indicated that, the free SHS policy which was introduced by President Akufo-Addo has gained an extensive patronage, especially among the vulnerable who can now acquire education at no cost to their parents.

Hon. Abonkra disclosed that, one of the biggest challenges that the District is facing borders on security concerns but his administration is making all efforts to get a helping a hand.

“We have lobbied to get a military base established here so that the military can partner the police to improve the poor security in the area.” He told Oheneba Nana Asiedu, host of the political programme
