The National Chairman for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, has been heavily linked to the murder of constable Emmanuel Osei which occured at Adedenpo near James Town in Accra Monday.
A Police officer has been shot dead by suspected armed robbers in an attack on a bullion van.
The chilling event has led to the Ashanti regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako expressing disgust over the plan by the NDC Chairman to create an unstable country by sponsoring armed robbers to create chaos in the country.
The NPP Chairman also known as Chairman Wontumi stated that when recent crimes are looked at closely, it would be realized that everything has been created by Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo .
It would be recalled that the Samuel Ofosu Ampofo was captured on tape scheming to make Ghana ungovernable by sponsoring thugs to create mayhem in Ghana.
Mr. Ofosu Ampofo and a member of the NDC’s communications team, Kwaku Boahen have been accused by state prosecutors of plotting to undertake series of criminal activities targeted at EC Chairperson, Jean Mensa and others including National Security operatives.
Mr. Ofosu Ampofo was caught on tape talking about the creation of a general state of insecurity in the country through kidnappings, arson and verbal attacks on public officials.
The murdered officer was with the National SWAT team of the Police and was on duty escorting money in the bullion van.
A distress call by telephone from James town reported that three armed men on two motorbikes number unidentified, attacked and robbed a bullion Nissan van with registration number gt 8592 w with the inscription Mon-tran company.
The late constable Emmanuel Osei was shot and the driver injured.
The James town district police command and men rushed to the crime scene and found the said van parked in the middle of Adedenko metal market road with three door glasses shattered.
The body of no. 58449 g/constable Emmanuel Osei of the national swat was found in a pool of blood at the front seat.
