The speaker of parliament, RT. Hon. Speaker Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has revealed that, the minister of Finance will appear before the house to present the mid – year budget statement and Economic Policy of the Government of Ghana for the year 2023 on 31st July instead of 27th July .
At the commencement of government business, official communication from the speaker announced that the change.
According to him, the house will not sit to perform its regular duties tomorrow.
The Speaker said there is going to be a National Development Conference hosted by the Church of Pentecost which will be of National interest therefore the President of the Republic of Ghana, the Chief Justice, the Speaker of Parliament and members of Parliament will be attending.
Mr. Speaker added that, the event has therefore necessitated the change in activities for the week.
He said the Finance Minister will have an intense meeting with members on Thursday 27th July 2023 concerning the supplementary budget to be presented on Monday 31st July
