Medeama Win 2025/26 Ghana Premier League

Medeama SC have clinched the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League title after beating Heart of Lions 5-2 at the TnA Stadium on Sunday, May 17, 2026.

The victory secured Medeama’s second league title in three seasons and confirmed them as champions with one match still left to play.

The Tarkwa-based club went into the game knowing a win, together with dropped points from rivals Bibiani Gold Stars, would seal the title.

Gold Stars’ defeat to Dreams FC earlier in the day opened the door for Medeama to wrap up the championship in front of their home supporters.

Despite a delayed kick-off caused by heavy rainfall, Medeama started strongly and took the lead through Kelvin Obeng in the 18th minute.

The forward later added his second goal before half-time to give the hosts full control of the contest.

Heart of Lions reduced the deficit after the break, but Medeama responded quickly and continued to dominate proceedings.

Derrick Fordjour scored twice in the second half, while Prince Owusu also found the net to complete an impressive attacking display from the home side.

Heart of Lions scored two goals, including a late penalty converted by Etse Dogl, but it was not enough to stop Medeama from celebrating another league triumph.
