Medeama have completed the signing of former Ghana Under-20 striker Abdul Basit-Adam, the club announced on Monday.
The 25-year-old has returned to the Ghanaian top-flight after ending his stay at Turkish side Çanakkale Dardanel SK.
The two-time FA Cup holders have stolen off the march from some other Ghanaian top clubs seeking the signature of the former Free State Stars striker.
Ghanaian second-tier side New Edubiase, which still holds the economic right of the player, have successfully negotiated the transfer of their client to Medeama which has become a safe haven for their players.
New Edubiase is turning out to be feeder club for Medeama over the past few years after former players Bernard Ofori and Prince Opoku-Agyemang excelled heavily when they made the switch t Tarkwa.
Ofori went on to secure a move to Zambian giants Zanaco FC in 2017 after just 18 months at the club.
He was replaced by former New Edubiase striker Prince Opoku-Agyemang, who has also secured a loan move to South African outfit Cape Town City FC after just six months.
Basit Adam is expected to follow in the footsteps of his former colleagues to deliver another superb performance for the Mauve and Yellows in the upcoming season in a massive transfer coup for the Tarkwa-based side.
The strong forward is revered for his pace and power, and could be a great addition to the ambitious Ghanaian side.
Basit left New Edubiase in 2013 to join South African giants Free States Stars, but left after two seasons to rejoin the Ghanaian club.
After just a season, he moved to Sweden to sign for Gefle IF before joining Frej.
