Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu’s decision to quit his position has brought shame upon his close friends who have confided in the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, M.r Bernard Antwi-Boasiako.
The NPP Chairman in an interview on the Wontumi Morning Show disclosed that he recieved several calls from friends of Martin Amidu who pleaded with him to cease exposing the former Special Prosecutor following the shameful way he resigned from office.
According to the NPP Chairman popularly known as Chairman, Ghanaians were expecting Mr. Amidu to have excelled as Special Prosecutor but he let everyone down despite the heavy support he received from the Akufo-Addo led government.
Chairman Wontumi explained that current Education Minister, Matthew Opoku-Prempeh, isn’t an educationalist but has managed to bring massive change to the education sector despite being a medical practitioner by profession.
“Martin Amidu’s friend called me and said he has seen that his friend has failed. We all know the support President Akufo-Addo through the Attorney General provided for Martin Amidu in court to ensure that the NDC didn’t prevent him from doing his work as Special Prosecutor. Only the NDC interfered in the work of Amidu not NPP”, he said.
