Marry Women Of Your Class – Amankwa Mireku Advises Footballers

The life of a professional footballer looks glamorous and pleasure ridden during his active playing days, but the family life of the male footballer after retirement usually ends in agony of divorce, but Amankwa Mireku seems to have uncovered the reason behind this incessant misfortune and has recommended what seems to be an overcoming solution.

The Accra Hearts of legend believes that professional footballers are mostly influenced by the pleasures of the world, and considering their financial power during the pinnacle of their career, end up choosing for a wife women who fall outside their pay grade.

Speaking to an online portal to addressing the gravity of divorce cases that several former footballers are entangled in after their career, Amankwa Mireku stressed that most footballers are influenced by what other colleagues of theirs have done, and in an attempt to equal or outdo them, end up biting more than they can sustainably chew. He argued that most of the women that footballers choose to marry are not they class of women who are modest, moderate and adaptable to all kinds of living and as such, turn to divorce their ex player husbands when the man’s finances takes a bow.

“Footballers we like competition; this person has bought Golf so I will do same, this one has bought Hummer I will also buy Hummer, this person has bought Rolls Royce I will also buy Rolls Royce, footballers, keep to your truck. This person has married a fair woman, I will also marry a fair woman, everyday we want to do something that people will say that mine is better than that of anyone else”, Amankwa Mireku said.

Mireku insisted that the biggest problem of footballers is they always go in for women who are rated above them, in terms of demands and needs. Such women drain the account of the retired footballer and despite having married to each them, divorce them as soon as the money finishes. To him, the high demands of these flashy women prevent the players from investing for the future and they later suffer divorce pitfalls.

“We go in for women who are higher than us, that’s the only problem of footballers. But what you have to know is that time changes, so do your things well, avoid impulse buying and save money. Make investments so that you can live a good life after football. It’s not about what you earn but rather what you spend it on, so I will plead with my fellow footballers of today to make good use of the profession and marry women of their class. Don’t go in for a woman who is higher than you can afford”, he advised.

According to Mireku, almost 70% of former footballers have been divorced by their wives and the root cause has to do with money.

“Footballers, almost 70%, their wives leave them when they retire from football, the reason is partly because of previous cheating by the man in his active playing days, others also are largely based on financial issues”, he observed.
