Manager Of Late Beverly Afaglo Speaks

The manager of late Ghanaian actress Beverly Afaglo has shared more details about her passing, revealing that she fought with everything she had and chose to continue treatment in Ghana to remain close to her children.

Speaking on Citi FM on Sunday, May 24, 2026, Abu Iddris explained that Beverly’s illness began as breast cancer but later spread due to its genetic nature.

“It started as breast cancer, but it’s genetic, so it circulates and spreads,” he said.

Celebrities who have reacted to Beverly Afaglo’s death He added that she sadly passed away at 11:45 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the International Maritime Hospital (IMaH) in Tema, after a two-year battle with cancer.

“It’s been a relentless war. She really fought hard,” Iddris said.

He confirmed that she had been unwell for a long time but noted that the actress refused to allow her illness to define her public life.

“She’s been unwell for a very long time, but because she was fighting and we went through treatment, we shot Pimp’s Paradise while she was undergoing treatment — the premiere, the promotions,” he explained.

“She lived well, doing her very best until the cancer got the better of her,” he added.

In a further revelation, Iddris noted that Afaglo had earlier been receiving treatment in the United States but chose to return home to be with her family.

“She chose to come here with her kids, knowing the situation. She chose to come see her kids and spend her last days with them at home,” Iddris said. “This is who Beverly is.”

News of Beverly Afaglo’s illness first became public when her husband announced it on social media. As of Sunday morning, Iddris said the family was not yet in a position to discuss funeral arrangements and has asked the public for space and understanding.

“We are taking it slow today. It just happened, and we are really trying to breathe. We need to grieve her. For now, we’re grieving our sister,” he said.

Beverly Afaglo is survived by her husband and children.
