Clad in an unusual black dress despite her victory at the polls, Madam Appiagyei who was flanked by her husband, Dr Kofi Koduah Sarpong said even though she was still mourning the death of the mum, Agartha Appiagyei, it was needful that she was present in church to give God glory for the victory of the NPP at the 2020 polls.
APPRECIATION:
Madam Appiagyei told the congregation that the victory of the party at the polls was due to prayer from the church.
She also noted that the party enjoyed so much goodwill from chiefs and opinion leaders in Asokwa.
The famous legislator also commended the efforts of the party’s executives and supporters whose toil and diligence ensured victory for the NPP.
Madam Appiagyei on behalf of the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo also thanked the people of Asokwa for voting to endorse him as President for a second term in office.
APPEAL:
The Asokwa MP appealed to the congregation to bear her and the President up in prayer at all times.
This, she noted is the only way they would receive strength and wisdom beyond the normal to implement programmes and policies to the benefit of the populace.
With the outcome of the elections, Madam Appiagyei said the NPP needed to be united behind persons who have been given leadership positions than ever so that they could deliver on their mandate.
She also assured the people of Asokwa of her commitment to their welfare and noted that she will lobby her way out to get proper development for the people in the Municipality
