Make Free SHS Count — Mama Pat Tells KUHIS Students As She Donates Items.
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Asokwa, Madam Patricia Appiagyei has urged students of Kumasi High School, a famous senior high school in Asokwa Municipality to study to get better grades to enable them enter university after school.
By this, the Asokwa legislator said they would have made President Akufo-Addo and the NPP government proud for investing the country’s resources in getting them the free education policy.
Addressing students and staff on Tuesday morning during a visit to the school in Gyinyase, Madam Appiagyei who is also the Deputy Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation said education is the best pivot for human development.
She tasked the school administration to provide good training in addition to the education for the students so that they can turn out well after school.
‘’As students your final output in the final exams you will write after your three years will vindicate the investments the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has made towards your education by the implementation of the free education policy’’, the Asokwa MP stressed.

Madam Appiagyei also used the visit to KUHIS to present 20 sets of streetlights, 400 pieces of nose masks and 3 and half boxes of hand sanitizers to the headmaster of the school.
She noted that the gesture was to ensure the school compound glows during the evening and night times.
Madam Appiagei also mentioned the need for the students and staff to live with the mentality that COVID-19 was in full force by wearing the mask and applying the hand sanitizers anytime they touch something on campus or elsewhere.
She urged school authorities to ensure the rigorous adherence to all safety measures in the school, adding that no one should get sick while undertaking the simple task of either learning or teaching on campus.
‘’I urge you all to live on campus and wherever you find yourselves with the caution that COVID-19 was around and to also prepare your minds that those of you who are 18 years and above will be voting on December 7 to choose a President and MP to serve you the next four years’’, Madam Appiagye noted.

Mr Bernard Hall-Baidoo, Headmaster of Kumasi High School thanked the Asokwa legislator for the gesture.
He noted the presentation was timely and very needed since the compound of the school had become larger than it used to be 4 years ago and therefore requiring a better lighting system.
The nose masks and hand sanitizers, the calm-mannered Headmaster stressed, were direly needed since the school had to ensure awareness of the viral disease was still created by the use of same.
Mr Hall-Baidoo promised to ensure discipline was maintained at the famous boys’ senior high school in Asokwa so as to ensure optimum output from students.
