Former Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen has condemned comments made by former president John Dramani Mahama on his dream to pack NDC-Pro lawyers in the judicial service as “partisan sympathy on justice.”
Lawyer Boahen described the comments as ‘Scary and Dangerous’ to justice and democracy in the country and NDC at large.
“What Mahama said is never true, It’s far from that. this is serious and dangerous to opposition”
The famed lawyer was speaking in an interview on Wontumi Radio/TV early morning talk show hosted by Ohenebea Nana Asiedu in Kumasi on Monday
He noted that appointments are done on merit or by merit and not on political inclination.
“President Mahama, what you said is serous to opposition, some NDC lawyers deserves better in this administration to be promoted by the President. “Nana Boahen rubbished the remark by the former President.
He named NDC’s lawyers Tony Lithur, Osafo Boateng, lawyer E. Tamakloe, Kusi and many others as among those with the competence to meet the high level of justice administration in Ghana.
He called on the NDC party faithful to officially condemn the comments and distance themselves from such unpleasant utterances.
