Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, Mr. John Mahama, has been blamed for being one of the reasons, the late former President Rawlings met his untimely death.
This was contained in a speech which was delivered by the General Secretary for the National Democratic Party, Alhaji Mohammed Frimpong at the Alisa Hotel on Monday, November 23, 2020.
According to him the founder of the NDC did not die a happy man because of the way Mr. Mahama and the current leaders of the NDC treated him. For this reason, he stated that Mr. John Mahama took away the soul of Mr. Rawlings when he was even alive.
He also stated that the late former President Jerry John Rawlings and founder of the National Democratic Congress, was eager to see his party lose the 2020 general election.
With close ties with the family of the Rawlings’, Alhaji Frimpong emphatically stated that the late President never liked the flagbearer of the NDC, Mr. John Mahama and held a firm view that he could never win the party the election in 2020.
“He (Rawlings) knew Mahama was not in to win the NDC the 2020 elections but rather to hijack the NDC with money for 2024”, Alhaji Frimpong said.
