A car dealer based in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Prince Kumi, has warned the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to stop drinking before he speaks in public.
Mr. Kumi popularly known as Maxi stated on the Wontumi Morning Show that it was disrespectful for former President John Dramani Mahama to have openly insulted the people of Akyem by calling them “Sakawa Boys”.
According to Maxi, Ghanaians could have taken such a statement with a pinch of salt if it had come from a lesser known executive of the NDC.
He therefore contends that it was wrong for Mr. Mahama to have made those utterances without rendering an apology.
“I don’t know what you (Mahama) drink before you talk. Whatever you are drinking, stop taking it. Leave such comments to ‘goro’ boys in your party like Kweku Boahen”, Maxi said.

A revered Chief with ties in Akyem, has also responded angrily to comments by the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, Mr. John Dramani Mahama, that Akyem people are ‘Sakawa Boys.
Nana Oteatuoso Kokobeng II in an interview on the Wontumi Morning Show, noted that it was rather former President Mahama who has demonstrated through his shady dealings to the world that he is a scammer.
The respected Chief dished out a litany of events that supports his claim that former President Mahama is more than a ‘Sakawa’ person.
“What is more Sakawa than the Airbus scandal? What is more Sakawa than collecting Ford car as bribe? What is more Sakawa than telling us that all the guinea fowls you were invested our moneys in has flown to Burkina Faso? What is more Sakawa than Hope City project?” were some of the questions he directed to Mr. Mahama over his ‘Sakawa Boys’ comments.
