The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako has slammed former President John Mahama for running Parliamentary business in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) like a brothel.
The NPP Chairman popularly known as Chairman Wontumi in an interview with Wontumionline.com stated that Mr. John Mahama was deliberately operating the parliamentary wing of his party like an “ashawo or wee joint”.
“Mahama is like a gang leader, the changes he has made in parliament for the NDC is like someone who owns an ashawo and wee joint”, Chairman Wontumi said.
On Tuesday, January 24, 2023, the leadership of the NDC in Parliament was changed. Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson takes over from Haruna Iddrisu as the new Minority Leader.
Ellembelle MP, Kofi Armah Boah will replace James Klutse Avedzi as Deputy Minority Leader. Kwame Agbodza is now the Chief Whip for the opposition side and will be deputised by Banda MP, Ahmed Ibrahim and Ada legislator, Comfort Doyo Ghansah respectively.
