Founder of the National Liberation Congress (NLC), Stephen Atubiga, has noted with concern that Mahama’s decision to surround himself with family and friends caused his downfall.
He further described the problems of Mr. John Mahama in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as similar to nursing a diabetic wound.
He predicted doom on Mr. Mahama’s presidential ambition noting that until he gets rid of the “family and friends” he has surrounded himself with, he won’t win the 2024 elections.
He urged him to listen more to the cadres of the NDC rather than the current executives of the party who were seeking his downfall.
“Mahama has a diabetic problem in NDC”, Stephen Atubiga said on Wontumi TV.
He touched on Mr. Mahama’s decision to settle on Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang as his 2020 running mate explaining that the decision didn’t sit well with the cadres of the party and the late former President Rawlings.
The founder of NLC reminded Mr. Mahama that the late former President Jerry John Rawlings, had a big problem with him (Mahama) because he listened more to the family and friends he had surrounded himself with.
“Mahama selecting her means loyalty is not reward in NDC. She doesn’t have a party card”, Mr. Atubiga fumed.
