A member of the National communications team for the New Patriotic Party(NPP), George Kwarteng has berated the former president, John Dramani Mahama, for the mismanagement of the economy in his tenure of office.
This, he said, is because, unemployment, intermittent power outages “Dumsor”, and corruption were on the rise under Mahama’s administration.
Speaking in an interview on Wontumi TV, on 16th April, 2024, He reiterated that, the flagbearer of the opposition New Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama condones corruption, emphasising his inability to reviving the collapsed economy of Ghana.
“Mahama mentioned that he was not a magician to create jobs for Ghanaians. He sent us back to class one. All he did was “dumsor”. He is corrupt. According to the history of our nation, he was the first president to be involved in a bribery scandal. Even as a vice president, he was indulged in Cocoa smuggling ” he stressed
He also lauded president Akufo-Addo for his enormous contribution to eradicate the country’s economic woes.
