Nana Ama Ampomah, the Ashanti Regional Women Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has called on Ghanaian women to remember the progress they have had in their lives due to the policies of the Akufo-Addo government and vote to retain him as President on December 7.

She noted that the free senior high education policy alone had enabled parents, especially women to save the monies they would have expended in the enrollment of the wards into senior high school.

Speaking at the Bantama-Race course last Thursday, Madam Ampomah said most women around the period of September would have been selling their clothes just to get their wards into SHS.

This phenomenon, she noted, was no more because every item from books to uniforms including tuition, utilities and others at the boarding house is being borne by the NPP government through the Free SHS policy.

‘’It is clear that President Akufo-Addo’s coming was a blessing to women in the country because our burdens have been the most lessened’’, the women leader posited.

OTHER INITIATIVES:

Madam Ampomah said other initiatives such as the planting for food and jobs and the one district one factory programs undertaken by the government has given people the opportunity to get jobs to do.

The planting for food and jobs policy alone, the women organizer noted has given employment to over 2 million people on farms across the country.

Many youth in the country, the women organizer mentioned, have gotten jobs in the new factories and industries established under the one district one factory policy.

The women organizer also said that unlike previously, about 100,000 graduates who were at home without jobs have been enrolled on the Nation Builders Corps (NABCo) program.

ROAD CONSTRUCTION:

Touching on road constructions in the country, the NPP women leader said the Ashanti region was having its share of what the President noted was the year of roads.

She intimated that all roads captured under the Greater Kumasi Infrastructure project would see proper asphalt on them after their completion.

Madam Ampomah said the NPP government was doing proper roads which could be seen by all from this year onwards.

She therefore requested for four more years from the people of Ashanti, especially those at the Bantama race-course for the President to continue with his good works.

‘’Go out on election day, the 7th of December and vote for Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP parliamentary candidate in your area and ensure that we show gratitude to the President for the care he has shown to us since 2017’’, Madam Ampomah charged the traders.
