Let’s Honour Rawlings With Peaceful Polls- CCC Head Pastors Urges

The General Overseer of Calvary Charismatic Center (CCC), Reverend Ransford Obeng has tasked political party heads as well as the public to use the upcoming polls to honour the memory of the late former President, Jerry John Rawlings by behaving peacefully.

Reverend Obeng believes the best tribute to the memory of the former military leader would be for the populace to attend to the upcoming elections  with a peaceful conduct.

Addressing the media in Kumasi Friday morning, the CCC leader noted that losing people of such repute as Rawlings was difficult to bear.

He encouraged the public to show sympathy to the bereaved family, especially the wife and kids of the former President so that they could be comforted by the love of Ghanaians.

PRAYER:
Praying for the family, Reverend Obeng asked that same comfort God had given him to bear the loss of his wife, the late Mrs Joyce Obeng be given to the former first lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings.

He noted that to lose a loved one and a spouse was difficult to deal with.

But assured the family that prayer would be offered to God for them to deal with such a great loss.

Reverend Obeng said the former President showed empathy towards the common man and therefore needed to be celebrated for such trait.

ADMONITION ON CORONA:
Meanwhile, Reverend Obeng has advised that the public take caution about the surge in the second wave of the corona virus outbreak in the country.

He noted that the virus has proven to be more devastating in its second wave than the first.

The CCC leader asked that all mass gatherings be halted by political heads and parties to forestall the spread of the viral disease.

He also urged preachers of the gospel to maintain the low numbers during gatherings at church and also continue to adhere to all the protocols of hand washing and sanitizing.
