After 7 years with Lynx Entertainment, Vera Hamenoo-Kpeda broke out on her own after reappearing from a two-year break to treat her mental health.
“It’s been very interesting. I won’t lie. Being with a record label and being on my own are very different things. And they both have their upsides and downsides.
“But to be an independent artist, I have a hand in every single thing I do, and that’s powerful for me. I mean, it’s still difficult because you know I’m basically executive producing everything I do.”
MzVee continues to blow her horn (rightly deserved) as she lists her laudable accomplishments in the industry, which she has acquired since going solo.
“I’m going to give myself a pat on the back because 3 years after my label, I’m still being nominated for awards. Picking some, and I’m still doing the work.”
The award-winning vocalist is out with her latest album, “10 Thirty”, available on all musical platforms.
