Private legal practitioner Maurice Ampaw has fired Kennedy Agyapong for disrespecting President Akufo-Addo by threatening him with a ‘showdown’ during the New Patriotic Party’s Super Delegates Conference.
Lawyer Ampaw explained on Wontumi TV that President Akufo-Addo is the property of Ghana and by virtue of that Kennedy Agyapong “dare not talk to him anyhow”.
“The president is the property of Ghana you dare not talk to the president anyhow. You don’t put him a way for Ghanaians to disrespect him”, he explained.
The stern warning from lawyer Ampaw to Kennedy Agyapong, follows the latter’s threat and swears to President Akufo-Addo and vice President Bawumia that he will give them a “showdown”.
Lawyer Ampaw rebuked the Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP) for the comment noting that President Akufo-Addo is the nation’s “warrior and commander-in-chief” and also reflects “our image and carries the face of Ghana.”
He advised the Assin Central legislator to show respect to the President and remarked that when it comes to experience in life, he doesn’t match Akufo-Addo in anyway.
“You don’t want to respect him but you want people to respect you. When it comes to experience in life, you can’t match Akufo-Addo. You can’t compare your political career, age and education to the president. When it comes to money you don’t have money than him. You are aspiring to be like him so you have to give him respect”, he said to Kennedy Agyapong.
