A lecturer with the Kumasi Technical University, Ishaq Kyei-Brobbey has suggested that there could be a sinister agenda by Mr. Kwadwo Mpiani following his comment that Ghana, doesn’t need a Vice President.
The university lecturer in an interview on Wontumi TV which was monitored by Wontumionline.com, stated that Mr. Mpiani could be targeting Vice President Bawumia following his recent comment.
Ishaq Kyei-Brobbey suggested that until Mr. Mpiani comes out to explain himself better with the comment he made, he (Kyei-Brobbey) would still hold the view that he (Mpiani) has a sinister agenda.
“It seems to me; he has a different agenda saying this. He needs to explain himself very well”, Ishaq Kyei-Brobbey said.
Former Chief of Staff under the John Agyekum Kufuor administration, Mr. Mpiani is on record to have said that Ghana does not need a vice president.
He avers the President must rather appoint a Prime Minster who will serve as head of government business.
But Ishaq Kyei-Brobbey questioned him and wondered why he never made this comment when he served under former President Kufuor and also saw the National Democratic Congress (NDC) come to power after.
“Is it now that he has realized that Ghana doesn’t need a vice president? Why has it taken him too long to make contribution on our governance system? I don’t get it”, Kyei-Brobbey commented.
