Kwadaso Municipal Assembly Constructs Ultramodern Classroom Block For Methodist Technical School

Staff and students of Methodist Technical Institute at Kwadaso in Kumasi were on cloud nine when the Municipal Assembly led by Hon. Richmond Agyenim Boateng handed over a complete 12 ultramodern unit classroom block to the school.

Hon. Agyenim Boateng said that, the he holds the Methodist Technical Institute to high esteem so he decided to make good use of the Assembly’s common fund to construct a classroom block for the school.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony monitored by wontumionline.com, he indicated that, it’s the responsibility of the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives to work to compliment the effort of the President as far as the free Senior High School programme is concerned.

The Kwadaso MCE noted that, the development of a country lies on the onus of education thus quality education.

According to him, the Municipality is making frantic effort in making sure children in the area get quality education.

Hon. Agyenim Boateng advised the students to concentrate on their books because ‘the foundation of every state is the education of its youth’.

The Ashanti Regional Minister’s Remarks

“I came and Inspected the school last year and told the MCE that, the state of the school does not befit Kwadaso and the MCE promised me that there would be a massive improvement of buildings in the school on my next visit. Through to his words there has been a huge improvement. I congratulate Hon. Agyenim Boateng for this achievement.” Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Simon Osei Mensah who graced the occasion said.

He said that, the Kwadaso Municipal Chief Executive has made good use of the Assembly common fund.

Advising students

Hon. Simon Osei Mensah advised the Methodist Technical Institute students to heed to their studies.

He stressed that, the seriousness they will exhibit in their studies will determine their future.

According to the Ashanti Regional Minister, the only legacy President Akufo-Addo can offer the country is the free Senior High School programme, “so you have to learn hard and pass your exam to honour President Akufo-Addo.”

However, he admonished the staff and the students of the school to take good care of the edifice to ensure its durability.

The headmaster of the school expressed profound gratitude to the Kwadaso Municipality for their kind gesture.

He appealed to the Regional Minister and the Municipality to establish dormitory for the school.
