Kusi Boafo Hints Of Diabolic Plans By NDC To Make The NPP Unpopular In Ashanti

Chief Executive of Public Sector Reforms, Mr. Thomas Kusi Boafo, has hinted that a section of the Ghanaian public is trying to sabotage efforts to develop Ashanti Region as well as making it impossible for Members of Parliament from the Region to get appointments in the new government of President Akufo-Addo.

According to him, the purpose is that this same people would later turn round to make a false claim that “even though voters in Ashanti contributed extensively to the NPP’s victory in the 2020 elections they have been sidelined by the government in the sharing of positions. “

Speaking on Wontumi Radio/TV Morning Show, Mr. Kusi Boafo revealed that it is another plan by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to cast dust into the eyes of the public so that the MPs in Region would lose favour when it comes to giving government appointments.

The CEO of the Public Sector Reforms appealed to the members of the NPP not to engage in a banter or give and take anytime the opposition attacks them.

“All such negative comments constitute a trap by the NDC to make the NPP unpopular in its strong hold and lose power eventually.”

According to Mr Kusi Boafo,, the election battle is over and no NPP party member in Ashanti can influence the President in compiling his appointees list than the Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, aka Chairman Wontumi.

“This is the time we should encourage Wontumi. He was the captain of the ship which led us to win the battle but some people are on his nerves purposely to crucify him so he loses hope in bring any good thing to the Region.” He said

He indicated that Ashanti Region gave the NPP over one million votes unlike the previous years.

Mr. Kusi Boafo jabbed that, those making noise that the party didn’t perform well in the Region don’t even have the clout to go to the President to tell him to give positions to persons of their choice. .

“in every serious government it is the party’s Chairmen and their executives who can make strong case for appointments.” He noted

“Ashanti Region is holding the heart of NPP so if victory has been chalked we need a strong case for appointment of Ashanti MPs.” He said
