Kumawu DCE Gets Backing Of Omanhene, Party Chairman

 

The Kumawu Traditional Council presided over by Barima Sarfo Tweneboa Kodua, Omanhene of Kumawu Traditional Area has passionately appealed to the President to consider the nomination of Samuel Addae Agyekum as the District Chief Executive for the Sekyere Kumawu District.

The chief President has pleaded with the President to consider reappointing the Hon. Addae Agyekum who he described as a gift from the President to the people of Kumawu for the selfless leadership, respect and dedication towards nananom and constituents of the district.

According to Barima Tweneboa Kodua, the DCE has partnered chiefs in maintaining peace and facilitated development and which personal attributes and values are much cherished by the chiefs in the area.

The chief said having successfully supervised the completion of the flagship One District, One factory (ID1F) programme under which a Machine Manufacturing, Training and Resource Centre at Temate and the construction of two big warehouses for the storage of farm produce form the Planting for Food and Jobs policy, Mr. Addae Agyekum stood in good stead to ensure continuity of a good number of uncompleted projects started by the Assembly.

Barima Tweneboa Kodua mentioned a brand new Technical and Vocational school as well as District Administration Blocks under construction which need to be completed under the supervision of the DCE.

“The transformation which has started is remarkable and the acceleration must be maintained”, the Omanhene stated and assured the President of nananom’s unflinching support to enable the DCE deliver the government’s transformational agenda for the people.

In a related development, the Constituency chairman, Mr. Joseph Danso, has petitioned the President through the Ashanti Regional Minister, recommended Samuel Addae Agyekum for selection and re-nomination.

The party chairman explained that the DCE had been a true, loyal and strong party member and activist and played a key role in the 2020 constituency campaign by resourcing campaign teams which immensely contributed to the victory in the December 2020 elections.

Chairman Danso indicated that Mr. Addae Agyekum understands the ideologies of the NPP and the vision of the President which has exposed him and thus guided him in executing the developmental agenda of the President the past four years.

According to him, Mr. Addae Agyekum’s experience as a former assembly member, presiding member and DCE has equipped him to discharge his duties with diligence, integrity, transparency and commitment towards achieving a the goals of the President.

The constituency chairman said based on the qualities, competencies and character, Mr. Addae Agyekum has been identified as capable of working to break the year electoral cycle and therefore best qualifies to continue, consolidate and complete the development agenda of the President.
