KUMASI: Police Rescue Mother, Baby From Armed Car Snatchers (VIDEO)
The Ashanti Regional Police Sunday rescued a mother and her baby from a car snatching syndicate at Santasi in Kumasi.
Briefing Wontumionlime.com, the Regional Police PRO, ASP Godwin Ahianyo said the incident happened Sunday, 16/01/2022 at God Hope Chapel at Santasi in Kumasi.
He said upon a tip-off, the police patrol team and a taxi driver gave the snatchers who were fully armed, a wild chase.
ASP Ahianyo noted that the robbers upon reaching Dakojom, a suburb in Kumasi, abandoned the red private corrola car and bolted into a nearby forest.
He said mother and baby are safe and the retrieved car, parked at the Regional Police office.
