Ksi: Police Arrest Family Members In Connection With Class 4 Pupil’s Suicide
Two sons of the grandmother whose 11 year old nephew committed suicide have been detained by the Asokwa Police.
The two have been nabbed and kept by the police to assist in investigation.
Eleven (11) year old, Okyere Boateng, committed suicide at Atonsu Bokro-T.T near open Bible Church in the Asokwa Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
He attends school at Dompoase M/A Primary School and is in class 4.
In an interview with the Assembly member for Bokro electoral area, Hon Owusu Brempong said the family suspects foul play in the incident.
He said the boy declined to follow his grandma to the market with reason best known to the deceased.
The family returned home only to see the young boy hanged on a ceiling.
He revealed that, the deceased used mosquito net in committing the act.
“His legs were on the bed with kitchen stool slided on the bed. Hmm it is weird to believe he killed himself but let’s hope in the police”, he said.
