Kotoko: Maxwell Konadu To Strengthen Squad With Six Players

Coach Maxwell Konadu submitted six players to the club’s new Chief Executive Officer, Nana Yaw Amponsah at their meeting last week.
Former AshantiGold SC skipper Shafiu Mumuni was among the players on the wishlist of the 47-year-old trainer with out-of-contract midfielder Abdul Latif Anabila.
Uganda centre-back Murushid Juuko has also emerged on radar of Porcupine Warriors for a possible acquisition.
He is currently unattached after abrogating his contract with Moroccan club Wydad AC last year.
Juuko has represented the Cranes of Uganda at two Africa Cup of Nations tournament — 2017 and 2019 — in Gabon and Egypt respectively.
He has capped 41 times for the senior national team of Uganda with a goal to his credit.
Also, Joseph Esso who has left Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak following the expiration of his contract was included in the list of Coach Maxwell Konadu to the new Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko.
Karela United midfielder Emmanuel Keyekeh who has been reportedly joining the Porcupine Warriors for the past seasons was among the players sent to Nana Yaw Amponsah by the club’s head coach.
Coach Maxwell Konadu also asked the new CEO to open discussions with Medeama SC to re-sign Justice Blay who left the club last month.
