Kotoko Appoint Burkinabe Seydou Zerbo As New Coach

Asante Kotoko have appointed Seydou Zerbo as their new head coach for the 2022/23 season.

The Burkinabe coach replaces Prosper Narteh Ogum, who shockingly resigned after winning the Ghana Premier League last season.

Zerbo has signed a one-year contract with a 12-month option, according to Kotoko.

The 59-year-old last managed Burkina Faso national team at the 2020 African Nations Champion (CHAN) tournament in Cameroon.

His first official game for Kotoko will be against Burkinabe champions Rail Club du Kadiogo in the Caf Champions League preliminary round. Zerbo is very familiar with Kadiogo, as he began his coaching career there.

Also on Sunday, Kotoko announced the cancellation of their pre-season tour to Turkey. They have chosen Sudan as their new pre-season destination.
