The conference, scheduled for May 29, 2026, at the New Auditorium of USTED-Kumasi at 10:00am, will feature a panel discussion on the theme: “From Information to Influence: The Expanding Role of the Media in Sustainable Development.”

Among the key speakers expected at the event are Dr Henry Kwabena Kokofu, the incoming Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), and the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, who represents the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Also billed for the discussion are Mr Kofi Adu Domfeh, Ashanti Regional Chairman of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), and renowned anthropologist Dr Thomas Agyarko Opoku.

The programme will be moderated by renowned journalist Dr Kwame Adinkrah.
