Kofi Akpaloo Reiterates His Vision To Legalize ‘Weed’

Founder and leader of opposition Liberal Party of Ghana(LPG), Mr. Kofi Akpaloo, has reiterated his vision to legalize India hemp popularly known as ‘weed’.

He insisted that, should Ghanaians give him the mandate to rule, he will make ‘weed’ profitable to the nation in order to create employment for the youth.

Mr. Akpaloo revealed to Obaa Adwoa Nelson Aweh on Wontumi News that ‘weed’ has huge economic benefits.

He explained that, one acre of the ‘weed’ plantation is tantamount to to whopping value of$50,000.

He revealed that, the India hemp is used to manufacture medicine for curing stroke, Parkinson disease, epilepsy, convulsions and car spare parts.

But Mr. Akpaloo bemoaned that, since Ghana has not probe the usage of the India hemp, “all we know is smoking it.”

The LPG leader averred that, if that government will legalize the cultivation of the India hemp, it will create employment and put a stop to the galamsey.

He added that, its legalization will improve the state’s economy.
