Kissi Agyebeng Has Apologized For Saying Mahama Did No Wrong In Airbus Scandal- Chairman Wontumi

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has said that the Special Prosecutor has apologized unreservedly for his earlier claims that former President John Mahama did no wrong in the Airbus scandal.

Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako popularly known Chairman Wontumi stated the Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng is living with regret after making that erroneous statement.

According to Chairman Wontumi, for courts in UK, France, USA, Malaysia etc to pin Mr. Mahama in the scandal, it is silly for Kissi Agyebeng to sit here in Ghana to clear the former President of any wrongdoings.

Speaking on the Wontumi Morning Show, Chairman Wontumi stated that it was former President John Agyekum Kufuor who wanted to buy planes for the country but left office without making the purchase.

The Mills administration which took over from Kufuor made the purchase and it was John Mahama according to Chairman Wontumi, led all negotiations.

“Mahama found a way to use the money as vice President to buy the plane using his brother’s company and the people came to report fraudulent t ways of Mahama to Atta Mills”, he said.

“Mahama wanted to resign but it took Duncan Williams to stop him. Then as the investigation was ongoing, the sitting President Atta Mills died and his close pal who knew how dirty the deal was, David Lamptey also died”, he recounted.
