Historian, Lawyer Nana Obiri Boahen, has substantiated that the invitation to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to witness the coronation of King Charles III has brought into memory the history between the Ashantis and the British.
Lawyer Obiri Boahen, reiterated that it is not startling for King Charles III to invite Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to witness his coronation.
Speaking in an interview on the State of Ghana show on Wontumi TV, he said the relationship between the Ashantis and the British has a historical antecedent.
He cited an example that the British found it laborious to defeat the Ashantis in wars, unlike the groups of different countries.
