Kennedy Agyapong, Adwoa Safo Didn’t Vote Against Mike Oquaye, Ignore Kelvin Taylor’s Propaganda- Wontumi Advises
Ashanti Regional Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako has called on the party members and supporters to ignore claims by a pro NDC broadcaster, Kelvin Taylor that the members of Parliament for Assin Central and Dome Kwabenya, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong and Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo voted against Professor Mike Oquaye on the speaker of Parliament election.
Speaking with Oheneba Nana Asiedu on Wontumi Radio/TV Morning Show he said that, after all the noise and the campaign Kelvin Taylor did for John Mahama, he couldn’t come to Ghana and vote.
According to Chairman Wontumi as he is affectionately called, the amount that the NDC use to pay the NDC broadcaster can even fund for their campaign.
The NPP Chairman stressed that Kennedy Agyapong is somebody who loves the NPP to the core and for that matter cannot betray the party.
“How Kennedy Agyapong loves the party, there is no way he will vote against Professor Mike Oquaye,” he defended.
He said that, “God has given Kennedy Agyapong to NPP”
According to Chairman Wontumi, Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo also cannot vote against Professor Mike Oquaye.
“I called her and she was crying uncontrollably and said she cannot do that. She said people are pointing fingers at her because the son of Professor Mike Oquaye contested her in the primaries before the general elections.”
However Chairman Wontumi indicated that, the NPP party is apologizing to their supporters on whatever happened in Parliament last Wednesday.
He emphasized the defeat of Professor Mike Oquaye is not what the party wished for but it happened.
