Just In: Man, 45, Arrested For Killing Wife At Yeji
Police at Yeji have arrested 45 year old farmer, Yaw Muntom for allegedly murdering his wife on Saturday.
The deceased is 30 year old Abena Jayon whose body has been sent to the Mathias Catholic Hospital Morgue at Yeji for preservation and autopsy.
According to the police, the suspect after a short quarrel with the wife, shot her to death.
“Yaw after allegedly killing the wife, came to the station to report himself and he was arrested,” the police explained.
The police said the suspect took them to the crime scene where the deceased was found in a pool of blood with the gun lying beside her.
The police, have however, retrieved the single barrel gun and an empty BB cartridge used allegedly for the murder and the case is under investigation.
The suspect will be arraigned at the Atebubu District Magistrate Court, tomorrow, 23/08/2021.
