The New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, has taken an indirect at the National Democratic Congress (NDC) by questioning them over the fire outbreak at Makola, just a day before their planned demonstration.
There was an inferno at Makola market yesterday which is destroyed a three-storey building and valuables running into millions of Ghana cedis.
The NPP Youth leader popularly known as Nana B, also stated on Wontumi TV that it is sad that the NDC is using the death of Ibrahim Mohammed alias Macho Kaaka to stage a demonstration and create a false impression about Ghana’s state of security.
He also questioned the youth wing of the NDC for not finding it prudent to stage a protest when their own members killed their colleague during a meeting at their party office in Kumasi before the 2020 elections.
The March for Justice is led by the NDC youth wing will also have the full backing of the Inter-Party Resistance Against the New Voters Register (IPRAN), a group made up of six other political parties who have expressed their support for the cause.
National Youth Organizer of the NDC, George Opare Addo explains a petition will be presented to President Akufo-Addo and the Speaker of Parliament after walking through some principal streets of the capital.
But Nana B replied that George Opare Addo is being accused by his party members of being incompetent and for that reason, is trying his luck to win their hearts over by organizing a demonstration.
